Alyssa started her architectural career working on higher education projects in the metro-Detroit area. After moving to the West Coast, and designing multifamily apartments in Seattle and Vancouver, Washington, she now shares her skills and enthusiasm for innovative multifamily and affordable housing to the Ink Built team in Portland.

She enthusiastically shares a wealth of project and personal experience that help inform her projects and make her a valuable member of the design team. She is a highly technical and analytical designer with a knack for solving complex problems. At the start of any project, she immerses herself in details to gain a sound understanding of the most intricate details, helping her offer an efficient, elegant solution.

Alyssa is the envy of her fellow Ink Built colleagues having taken a Van Life sabbatical during the pandemic. During her Van Life adventures, she stayed at a few off-the grid sustainable properties on the west coast. It was humbling and eye opening for her to learn what it takes to live off solar panels, compost toilets, a modest garden and farm animals. This experience further fuels her passion to bring simple, sustainable ways of living to the modern world. Her love of adventure and passion for projects that work for people motivates her.
