Mel assisted the owner with acquisition of this property back in 2012 (then Redside) and developed the renovation and improvements plan to lower operating expenses and increase building value while increasing tenant retainage and lease value by updating the building exterior, improving the indoor air quality and reducing energy use.                

Mel worked with Portland development commission (now prosper Portland) to obtain grant funds to partially fund the exterior improvement work and help bolster this increasingly desirable area of the west end of downtown Portland. The exterior storefront improvement work included a dramatic update to the SW Taylor elevation to bring back the historic glass and wood entries and required design review approval from the city of Portland.

Ink Built continues to work with the owner and facilities team to support their leasing efforts, tenant improvements and capital building projects.
